About Me

Hi everyone!  My name is Brittany Silverstein and I am an Emmy award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience from coast to coast.  I love telling stories and connecting with my community.  Currently, I work as a freelance producer at KABC-TV, the ABC owned-and-operated affiliate in Los Angeles, California.  I also am the host/creator of Ciao For Now TV, a new social media TV series and brand focused on travel.

Before that, I worked as an executive producer at WPEC-TV in West Palm Beach, Florida. I directed and supervised four of the station’s daily newscasts, as well as managed content for all TV and web platforms.  Recently, I won an Emmy for “best team coverage” for my contributions and leadership in covering the mass school shooting in Parkland.

I have also worked at several other stations in my home state of California.  I produced the 5pm & 6pm newscasts and was a fill-in nightside executive producer at KUSI-TV in San Diego.  I also produced over 20 episodes of San Diego People , a weekly half-hour public affairs talk show highlighting people and issues in the community.  I also worked on the Central Coast as a producer/ reporter for KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV.  I won two RTNA Golden Mike Awards for my work,  including “best live coverage” during the Isla Vista Mass Shootings and “best entertainment reporting” for a piece I wrote, voiced and edited highlighting a local filmmaker who created a cartoon on equal rights.

When I’m not working, I love traveling, barre and yoga workouts and exploring all that California has to offer.  If you have any story ideas or just want to say “hi”, follow me on Twitter at @ABC7Brittany or on Facebook.   Thanks for following!
