Brittany Silverstein is an executive producer at WPEC-TV, the CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida. She currently directs and supervises four of the station’s daily newscasts, as well as manage content for all TV and web platforms. Recently, she won an Emmy for “best team coverage” for her contributions in covering the mass school shooting in Parkland.
Before coming to WPEC-TV, Brittany worked in her home state of California as a producer at KUSI-TV, San Diego’s only independent news station. She produced the 5pm & 6pm newscasts and was a fill-in nightside executive producer. She also produced over 20 episodes of San Diego People , a weekly half-hour public affairs talk show highlighting people and issues that affect San Diego.
Brittany also worked on California’s Central Coast as a producer/ reporter for KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV. She won two RTNA Golden Mike Awards for her work – one for “best live coverage” during the Isla Vista Mass Shootings and “best entertainment reporting” for a piece she wrote, voiced and edited highlighting a local filmmaker who created a cartoon on equal rights. She got her start in TV working as a News Apprentice / Traffic Producer at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. There she got the opportunity to work on many high-profile events, including the Conrad Murray trial and the Academy Awards.
