About Me

Brittany Silverstein is a TV news producer at KUSI-TV, San Diego’s only independent news station.  She produces the 11pm news and is a fill-in nightside executive producer.  She also produces San Diego People , a weekly half-hour public affairs talk show highlighting people and issues that affect San Diego.

Before working at KUSI-TV, Brittany worked on the Central Coast as a producer/ reporter for KCOY-TV/KKFX-TV.  She won two RTNA Golden Mike Awards for her work – one for “best live coverage” during the Isla Vista Mass Shootings and “best entertainment reporting” for a piece she wrote, voiced and edited highlighting a local filmmaker who created a new cartoon on equal rights.  She got her start in TV working as a News Apprentice / Traffic Producer at KABC-TV in Los Angeles.  There she got the opportunity to work on many high-profile events, including the Conrad Murray trial and the Academy Awards.

When Brittany isn’t working, she loves hiking, barre and yoga workouts, traveling, and exploring all that San Diego has to offer.  If you have any story ideas or just want to say “hi”, follow her on Twitter at @KUSIBrittany or on Facebook.
